• Coastal Kitchen Reopens with Oyster Bar 10.22.12

    One of Capitol Hill’s favorite mainstays reopened this past weekend after a four-week closure. Coastal Kitchen, the 20 year favorite for breakfast, lunch and dinner, underwent construction that had crews putting in a new oyster bar for bivalve fans, building a new cocktail bar for the over 21 crowd, and installing new bamboo flooring and other details in the rest of the dining room.

    A new menu launch beckoned longtime Coastal Kitchen diners and attracted new guests. New executive chef Jason Jones brings a wealth of experience to Coastal with sustainable seafood and other new favorites for breakfast, lunch, dinner and late night seven days a week.

    For any oyster fanatics, count on at least four different oysters on the half shell daily, including the Two Buck Shuck, a chef’s choice of one variety of oyster for just $2 all day.
