Radler week through April 22 + Reinheitsgebot on April 23
While the U.S. doesn’t have 500 years of beer history, you can be thankful that the Germans do! This year marks the 500th anniversary of Reinheitsgebot (German Purity Beer Law) – a law that defines the taste of beer today. On April 23, beer lovers everywhere will celebrate the enactment of Reinheisgebot by the only way that seems fit – drinking beer! Food specials, live music and special anniversary beers from Germany created specifically for this event, will be offered beginning at 11 a.m. until close.
Leading up to Reinheitsgebot, Radler Week will take place. During the week, celebrate with 0.5L for $5 or 1L for $10 of Bitburger’s Radler. Guests also have the opportunity to enter a raffle and win prizes such as Sounders and Mariners tickets, glass Bitburger boots and more. Radler Week will also highlight Weihenstephaner’s new beer, a kellerbier called 1516, brewed specially for Reinheisgebot. There will also be music and food to complement the beer and bring the celebration in true German fashion.
