Viva La France! RN74 Hosts Bastille Day Celebration July 14 07.11.17
Celebrate Bastille Day in style at RN74! Michael Mina’s Seattle restaurant will be hosting a Bastille Day Celebration on July 14 from 3-10 pm in honor of the French National holiday. The event will feature an opulent spread of French-style hors d’oeuvres, oysters, craft cocktails and an abundance of wine from their award-winning cellar, all for just $45. The lavish event will also tempt with fun, engaging and entertaining burlesque dancers and a complimentary photo booth.
For those who are looking for a more decadent celebration, RN74 is offering a three-course dinner with French wine pairings selected by RN74 sommelier Jeff Lindsay-Thorsen. The menu features a twist on classic French fare including Foie Gras Torchon with black truffle gelee, Alaskan Halibut Bouillabaisse with Penn Cove mussels, Manila clams and saffron rouille, and a selection of sinfully French desserts including Mousse Au Chocolate, that will certainly leave you wanting more. View the full menu online. The $125 seated dinner starts at 5:30 pm and includes admission to the Bastille Day Party.
The celebration also calls for a Bastille Day themed cocktail –The French Summer Sparkle! The holiday-themed libation features Big Gin, earl grey simple syrup, lemon juice, lavender bitters and champagne. It’s a big taste of France in a perfect summer drink.Tickets to the Bastille Day celebration can be purchased at Brown Paper Tickets. General Admission Party tickets are $45; three-course dinner and Party tickets are $125.

Purchase Bastille Bash Tickets Online by Jul. 10! 07.09.14
Madison Valley’s third annual Bastille Bash is this Saturday, July 12 from 3-8 p.m.! The French-inspired celebration is expected to sell out so beat the lines this weekend by purchasing your tickets early. Food tickets and wine passports are available for purchase online until 12 p.m., Thursday, July 10. After that they will be available for purchase on July 12 at Bastille Bash.
Food tickets are sold in packages of four for $10. Each restaurant offers various menu items for one, two, or three tickets. One wine passport, priced at $20, entitles you to 10 tastings of wine, beer, or spirits. Bottles of wine will be for sale to take home and all proceeds benefit Art With Heart.
Wine and dine all along East Madison Street as local restaurants, wineries, distilleries, and breweries serve Parisian-inspired bites and refreshments. Here’s a sampling of what to expect:

Ascona Chocolate – Handmade chocolates
Bar Cantinetta – Meatballs, pecorino, fettunta
Belle Epicurean – Macarons, beet salad.
Cafe Flora – French brie and fresh tomato on baguette; Local berry bowls with fresh whipped cream.
Crush – Bites from Chef Jason Wilson
Harbour Pointe Coffeehouse – Shakerado (iced coffee drink); Cookies (shortbread or chocolate chip).
Harvest Vine – Paella.
Luc – Pork sausage, white beans, pickled vegetables.
Queen Bee – Crumpets with French brie and honey poached Rainier cherries; Duck confit, whole grain mustard and rosemary aioli.
Seattle Salads – Coconut Oil Popcorn: garlic or curry; Mini Salad Shakers in 3 varieties: Salade Nicoise, Lime Peanut Salad, Strawberry Mint Salad
Simply Soulful – Iced tea/sweet tea; Sliders; Gumbo.
Chef Thierry’s Dessert Booth – Yogurt bavarois, strawberries, blueberries, struesel.

The 3rd Annual Bastille Bash is June 12! 07.02.14
Bonjour! The storming of the Bastille is approaching–the storming of the “Bastille Bash” that is! Madison Valley will host their third annual “Bastille Bash” up and down East Madison Street, Saturday, July 12th from 3-8 p.m. Stop by to enjoy copious amounts of French flair provided by Madison Valley restaurants, bars, shops and more.
Come prepared to bon appétit! Indulge in French inspired cuisine by local favorites Voila and Luc, or take a bite out of Seattle’s “Best Macaron” by beloved Parisian patisserie, Belle Epicurean. Over a dozen Madison Valley restaurants will be participating in the bash, offering enticing sweet and savory bites inspired by French cuisine.
Although Madison Street may be far from the rolling vineyards of Bordeaux, that doesn’t mean we can’t all enjoy a glass of wine in the name of the revolution! Take a sip from some of Washington’s best local wineries, breweries, and distilleries, and stroll down Madison colorfully decked out in red, white, and blue. Oui oui!
Guest will also enjoy live entertainment and music throughout the bash, which includes burlesque dancers, street performers, stilt walkers, accordion players and more.
