Eat Pizza, Support the Ballard Food Bank 11.08.13
With the cold weather upon us, there is no better time to enjoy an authentic Chicago dining experience at Benito’s Chicago Eatery in Ballard. Chef and owner Benjamin Kulikowski brings Seattleites his hometown’s most famous dish: Chicago-style deep dish pizza. Layers upon layers of aged mozzarella cheese, fresh vegetables and quality meats are meticulously laid on top of a rich, pie-like pizza crust and baked in a deep pan. Thirty to forty-five minutes of bake time is worth every minute once you take a bite of their signature Benito’s Special with sausage, peppers, onions, pepperoni, mushrooms and organic tomato sauce. Other pizza options include cheese, pepperoni, sausage and spinach. Or customize your own deep dish with a variety of vegetables and meats.
Benito’s Chicago Eatery is hosting a fundraiser for the Ballard Food Bank from 5-10 p.m. on Tuesday, November 12. It’s the perfect opportunity to grab your friends and family and experience Chicago’s best exports for the first time or enjoy them again! Benito’s also offers a variety of sandwiches, hot pastas, fresh salads and homemade cannoli. Beer and wine are also available. Fifteen percent of all proceeds from the evening will support food security in the Ballard neighborhood.
Reservations not required. Benito’s Chicago Eatery is located at 6201 15th Ave NW and can be contacted at 206.420.7032.
In case you missed it, Chef Kulikowski shared his special deep dish recipe on KING 5’s New Day Northwest and prepared a Benito’s Special and White Pie. Watch here and learn how it’s made!
