Celebrate Copper River Salmon Season at Ray’s! 05.22.15
With the 2015 Copper River salmon season currently underway, Ray’s Boathouse and Café is featuring special pairings of the highly sought after salmon and selections of pinot noir in both restaurants through June 15.
Ray’s history with Copper River salmon is long and rich. Jon Rowley brought the first Copper River to Ray’s in 1983. It became an instant hit and has since been a coveted seasonal delicacy. Ray’s decision to pair red wine, specifically pinot noir, with the Copper River fish was also the first kind of its kind and still lives on as a tradition at Ray’s today!
Ray’s specials include a selection of 20 Oregon pinot noirs via Ray’s Coravin wine system, including Domaine Drouhin, Shea Wine Cellars, and Beaux Frères. The rich flavors of the chosen wines compliment the fat-bellied flavor of the salmon.
Ray’s Café will be offering specials of pinots and rich chardonnays to compliment the salmon as well.
Book a lunch or dinner at Ray’s now through June 15 to enjoy these delicious pairings in the Café or Boathouse!
Ray’s Boathouse and Café is located at 6049 Seaview Ave NW, Seattle 98107. Reservations for the Boathouse can be made at rays.com/rays-boathouse-reservation while reservations for the Café can be made at rays.com/rays-café-reservation.
