Taste of Italy to Celebrate America at Agrodolce
Thanksgiving may be an American holiday, but who says you can’t celebrate it with Italian flare. James Beard Award-winning Chef Maria Hines opened Agrodolce with a mission to bring authentic Sicilian fare, crafted with the finest organic and sustainable ingredients, to Seattle. Maria has assembled a culinary feast this Thanksgiving, and yes, there is turkey, prepared with classic Sicilian flavors.

Agrodolce’s three-course menu starts with Housemade Focaccia, a Winter Green Salad, or Crispy Potato Cakes with crème fraiche and chive. For the second and third course choose between the Sweet Potato Cavatelli with cranberry, brown butter, savory herbs; the Seared Brussels Sprout “Casserole,” with wild mushrooms, marsala, crispy shallots; or the Turkey Breast Involtini, with speck, provolone picante, and focaccia stuffing. Then savor the delightfully sweet dolci dish, Pumpkin Sheep’s Milk Ricotta Cheesecake, fashioned with housemade graham cracker, bruleed pear, and candied pistachio.

The three-course Thanksgiving menu will be offered 3-8 p.m., and is $65 per person with an optional wine pairing for $35. Visit Agrodolcerestaurant.net for reservations or call 206.547.9707. Agrodolce is located in Fremont at 709 North 35th Street, Seattle.

Thankful for Mediterranean Fare at Golden Beetle
Maria Hines has created a four-course, organic menu that infuses Golden Beetle’s distinctive Mediterranean fare with wholesome, American classics. Instead of spending the entire day preparing a feast, enjoy delicious food in a relaxing atmosphere at Golden Beetle with family and friends.

Start your four-course meal with the Roasted Kabocha Squash Soup with macerated cranberry, almond, and sage; or the Baby Spinach Salad with grilled scallion vinaigrette, kasseri cheese, and pistachio. Next is the Sweet Potato Tart, prepared with caramelized onion, brown sugar, and allspice. The third course options include Wood Fired Turkey Breast, St. Jude Albacore Tuna, or Roasted Root Vegetable Ragout. With your entrée enjoy cornbread dressing, orange-cranberry sauce, mashed potato, and gravy. Pair each of your courses with a selected wine to enhance the flavors of your plates. For dessert choose between the Apple Brandy Sorbet with peppercorn, hazelnut shortbread cookie, and ginger; or the Pecan Pie with molasses, bourbon, and nutmeg.
