    Ray’s Cafe has launched exciting new lunch menu! Executive Chef Paul Duncan has rebuilt the Café’s lunch menu with a top-to-bottom refresh that includes a lineup of brand new dishes and new preparations of guest favorites, with fresh, sustainably-caught seafood continuing to fill the menu. Grab lunch at Ray’s Cafe seven days a week beginning at 11:30 a.m.!

  • Celebrate Mother’s Day at Local Restaurants this Sunday! 05.08.19

     

    Local restaurants are gearing up to celebrate mom this Mother’s Day Sunday, May 12 with brunch buffets, mimosas, waterfront dinners, organic dishes and more! Or if mom prefers to relax at home this Sunday treat her to a home-cooked meal with fresh Washington asparagus recipes. Read below for all the details and make your reservations today!

     

    Mother’s Day on the Water at Ray’s Boathouse & Cafe

    Ray’s Boathouse will be offering a beautiful spring-inspired Mother’s Day brunch menu along with some of their best-selling appetizers, salads and Boathouse entrées from 10:30 a.m.-3 p.m. on Sunday, May 12. For dinner, the Boathouse will be open at 3 p.m. with their regular menu served until 9 p.m. The Boathouse Bar will have the same menu offerings and hours for brunch and dinner but is on a first come basis with no reservations taken. Reservations are highly encouraged and are available for groups of up to eight people (including children and highchairs).     Or celebrate mom with a fresh seafood dinner at Ray’s Café! Enjoy dishes like Mediterranean mussels, oysters on the half shell, and Dungeness Crab Cakes while you sip on wine and take in gorgeous water and mountain views. Don’t forget dessert!     Mother’s Day Italian-Style Brunch at Agrodolce

    The casual and cozy Southern Italian trattoria, Agrodolce, will offer a three-course Mother’s Day menu from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. that will feature fresh pasta and brunch classics with an Italian twist.

     

    Chef-Owner Thomas Litrenta has pulled out all the stops to create beautiful dishes with options including Spring Onion Benedict with grilled spring onions, poached egg, arugula hollandaise, and crispy prosciutto; Black Pepper Bucatini with pecorino; Sweet Waffle with house-made gianduja, cherry compote, sweet whipped cream, and more. For dessert, guests can indulge in Pavlova with seasonal berries, and marsala whip cream, or Hazelnut Cake with house made gianduja, powdered sugar, and more.

    Three-Course Spring Brunch with Organic Ingredients at Tilth

    Celebrate Mother’s Day with fresh organic dishes at Tilth. James Beard award-winning chef Maria Hines alongside executive chef Joel Panlilio will be serving up a three-course prix fixe menu for Mother’s Day brunch from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

     

    Guests can dig into spring dishes such as Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon, poached eggs, and greens, Spring Quiche with asparagus and cheddar cheese, Sourdough French Toast with rhubarb and trufflebert hazelnuts, Tiramisu Waffle, and more. A special Cherry-Tarragon Mimosa will also be available for additional purchase.

    Family-Friendly French Brunch at RN74

    RN74 is opening their doors on Sunday, May 12 for a special French Mother’s Day brunch buffet from 9:30 a.m.- 2:30 p.m.

     

    Usually only open in the evenings, Chef Shawn Applin has created a gorgeous French-inspired buffet featuring a selection of fresh hors d’oeuvres and salads such as Yogurt Parfait with mixed berries and house-made granola, Warm Beignets, and Salade D’Asperges. For the main course, guests can look forward to live stations with made-to-order French Omelets, French Toast, and more!

     

    Diners can also indulge in delicious French rotisserie showcasing Roasted Leg of Lamb and Roast Chicken. Classic brunch cocktails will also be available with highlights including Mimosas, RN74 Bloody or Caribbean Cold Brew with Ron Zapca rum, vanilla and ancho reyes whip cream.

    Japanese Mother’s Day Specials at Junkichi

    Capitol Hill’s Japanese Robata-style Izakaya restaurant, Junkichi, brings an irresistible Mother’s Day lunch and dinner special.

     

    Junkichi offers an inviting space for small parties and group dining that the whole family will savor. The special Mother’s Day menu features Spicy Tuna on Crispy Rice, Baked Crab Sushi Rolls and the Toban Assortment consisting of Chicken wings, the signature Junkichi Tsukune (meat ball), and Sizzling Mushrooms.     Ray’s Boathouse

    Shilshole Bay and the Olympic Mountains make the perfect backdrop for a romantic night out. This Valentine’s Day Ray’s Boathouse invites couples to take in the spectacular views as they indulge in a delicious three-course seafood menu created by Executive Chef Paul Duncan.

     

    Diners will choose from dishes such as Oyster Tempura with chorizo vinaigrette and sea bean salad, Poke Tacos with ginger-soy marinade, wonton wrapper, and avocado mousseline. For the entrée course guests have the option to choose one of these incredible dishes: Alaskan Halibut, Seared Ahi Steak, or Filet and Half Maine Lobster Tail.

     

    The night is not complete without sweets and guests can choose from a Mousse Napoleon with caramel mousse, vanilla mousse, and spiced sponge cake or Chocolate Indulgence with Chambord sabayon and fresh raspberries.

    Located upstairs from Ray’s Boathouse, the casual waterfront restaurant and bar, Ray’s Café, is offering a special a la carte menu this Valentine’s Day. Couples can enjoy gorgeous views on the Seattle waterfront as they feast on delicious, local seafood.

     

    The menu includes Dungeness Crab Lumpia ($15) with sweet and spicy soy sauce, wasabi, and shredded cabbage, Filet of Beef and Petite Lobster Tail ($58) with fried potatoes and garlic greens, Grilled Mahi Mahi ($36) with glazed baby carrots, Jasmine rice, and pineapple beurre blanc, and for dessert Chocolate Indulgence ($9) with fresh raspberries… and more.

    Chef Maria Hines’ restaurant, Tilth, offers an intimate and romantic setting for Valentine’s Day. Guests can’t help but feel the charm and nostalgia as they cozy up in the Wallingford craftsman home that has become a mainstay in the neighborhood for over 12 years.

     

    This Valentine’s Day, lovers will enjoy a four-course pre-fixe menu with the option to choose exceptional dishes under each course. Guests will select from items such as Seared Scallops with Romanesco, beet, and hazelnut gremolata; Carnaroli Risotto with foraged mushrooms and Washington truffles; or Venison with baby turnips and huckleberries. Diners can also indulge in desserts such as the classic Theo Chocolate Ganache Cake, Orange Rose Cashew Cheesecake or Peanut Butter and Jelly Cannoli.

    RN74

    Locals and visitors alike are invited to partake in an evening of amour at RN74 with a decadent four-course tasting menu featuring a choice of hors d’oeuvre, second course (soup, salad, pasta), entrée and dessert. Diners also have the option to add two different wine pairings from the restaurant’s award-winning cellar to complement each delicious course.

     

    Guests can choose from hors d’oeuvres such as Sea Scallop and Uni Crudo with blood orange, fennel, espelette and orange oil; Truffled Cauliflower Soup with toasted pine nuts and celery gremolata; and Maine Lobster Ravioli with caviar crème fraiche and basil oil. Guests can opt for an additional course of the signature Michael’s Ahi Tuna Tartare for Two.

     

    Entrée options include Braised Rabbit Risotto with glazed carrots, mascarpone and chocolate jus; Black Sea Bass with wild mushroom consommé, tomato confit and preserved lemon; and Tomahawk Ribeye Steak for Two with roasted shallot, fondant potato, bordelaise, and bearnaise.

     

    The dessert menu brings a choice between Chocolate Cremeux with whipped coconut ganache, passionfruit gel and coconut shortbread or White Chocolate Petit Gateau with raspberry glaze and dehydrated raspberry meringue.
