The excitement of the fourth Seattle Restaurant Week is bursting at the seams and it’s about to get even better! Several restaurants participating in the largest and most price-conscious dining promotion in the area are gathering TODAY to hand out FREE BITES to get diners even more excited about the start of the promotion this Sunday.
Today, at the corner of Westlake & Denny in South Lake Union, ten restaurants will gather to feed you for free! No strings attached and it is not too good to be true! We’ll be there and so will countless other people. No reservations, no tickets required, just show up hungry and ready to mingle with such chefs as Eric Tanaka of Tom Douglas Restaurants, Maria Hines of Tilth and Golden Beetle and John Howie of Seastar. Not enough to convince you to step away from your desk? How about adding on other restaurants including Anthony’s Pier 66, Café Lago, Hard Rock Café and Serafina Osteria e Enoteca? We figured that would help!
After you snack, preview the list of over 150 restaurants serving three-course menus for $28 from Oct 16-27 (excluding Friday and Saturday). Lunch-goers can also take part with over 40 restaurants serving three-course menus for $15. Check out the list online and grab your reservations!

Seattle Restaurant Week is returning April 10-21 with the largest group of restaurants that the Seattle-area has ever seen in a dining promotion! The website launches tomorrow, March 15, so set your reminder and get ready to dial for your reservations. With 150 of the city’s best restaurants, you’ll have a long list of places to dine at during the ten days. Here’s a helpful hint – nearly 50 restaurants are offering lunch, too! Happy dining!

150 Restaurants BIte Into Seattle Restaurant Week, April 10-21
Growing Restaurant Celebration Offers Three-Course Menus for $28
SEATTLE – (March 14, 2011) – A record setting number of restaurants will come together for the third Seattle Restaurant Week, April 10-21, excluding Friday and Saturday. The 150 participating King County Restaurants will offer diners a three-course menu for $28, some offering three-course lunches for $15. Interested diners can view the full list of participating restaurants and make their reservations at www.theseattlerestaurantweek.com, which launches tomorrow, March 15.
“Seattle Restaurant Week has turned into a true celebration of dining across the area. We welcome many new restaurants this year and hope to see the number of participants grow and grow every time so that we can continue to offer locals and visitors a compelling reason to try new places and return to old favorites,” said Mark Fuller of Spring Hill, Seattle Restaurant Cooperative board member and recent James Beard Best Chef Northwest nominee.
Every three-course menu will offer at least three options under each course. Many restaurants will feature wine pairings and other offerings to enhance the diners’ experience.

Popular $25 dining promotion grows for second run Oct. 17-28
SEATTLE—From 106 restaurants in the inaugural celebration to 126 restaurants for the upcoming fall celebration, Seattle Restaurant Week will once again offer three-course dinners for $25; some offering lunches for $15. The fall celebration will be held Oct. 17-28, Sunday through Thursday only, and feature some of the area’s finest and most notable restaurants, from downtown hotspots to neighborhood favorites. 10 days and 126 restaurants – it’s time for King County residents and visitors to dine for a deal.
“The growth of Seattle Restaurant Week is a testament to its meaningful impact for restaurants and its positive response from diners. We couldn’t have asked for a better inaugural run,” said John Howie, Seattle Restaurant Cooperative board member and chef-owner of Seastar Restaurant and Raw Bar (Bellevue and Seattle), John Howie Steak and SPORT Restaurant and Bar.
With only 10 days and 126 restaurants, reservations are encouraged as the inaugural promotion left many diners without a reservation to their restaurants-of-choice.

Restaurant Week Chefs Gather To Fight Hunger 08.31.10
We’ve been busy ramping up for Seattle Restaurant Week (SRW), coming October 17-28, but we haven’t been so busy that we couldn’t hold an SRW fundraiser for a great cause: Food Lifeline!Last Tuesday, August 24, over 70 chefs gathered at the picturesque Olympic Sculpture Park to raise donations for hunger in Western Washington. SRW also gave out $1,000 worth of restaurant gift cards through a raffle supported by donations to Food Lifeline. The chefs posed for pictures, including one that will appear in Pacific Northwest Magazine this October. Keep your eyes peeled, but in the meantime, check out the below photos of some of the best chefs in the area.

SEATTLE – The broadest reaching, most price-conscious dining promotion to ever hit King County arrives April 18-29: Seattle Restaurant Week. Over the two week promotion, Sunday through Thursday only, diners have the opportunity to indulge in $25 three-course dinners at over 106 of the area’s best restaurants, some also offering $15 three-course lunches.
The county-wide dining deal is open to all restaurants that can provide a value-driven, $25 three-course menu. It is intended to thank the dining public for its support while providing restaurants an opportunity to present a high-quality menu that will attract regulars and new guests. The list of 106 participants includes endearing classics, notable newcomers and several award-winning restaurants from West Seattle to the Eastside, Woodinville to South Seattle and nearly every neighborhood in between.

The two week restaurant promotion will take place April 18 – 29, Sunday through Thursday, at an expanding roster of over 100 area restaurants offering diners three-course dinners for $25, some also offering three-course lunches for $15.
Seattle Restaurant Week was created by Seattle and Eastside restaurants banding together to offer diners a price-conscious menu at some of the area’s best restaurants. Largely based on the success of other Restaurant Weeks across the country, the promotion is open to any restaurant in King County – from neighborhood independents to local restaurant groups and national multi-units – that can offer a value driven three-course dinner menu for $25 (optional $15 three course lunch). From award winning restaurants to buzz-worthy newcomers and local classics, Seattle Restaurant Week will give diners the opportunity to dine for a deal in nearly every major Seattle and Eastside neighborhood, totaling more restaurants than any previous promotion.
“It is our genuine hope that diners will take complete advantage of Seattle Restaurant Week. The two week frenzy is a celebration of food, but it is also a way for us, the local restaurants, to thank diners for their continued support,” noted Chef-Owner Maria Hines of Tilth restaurant.
Seattle Restaurant Week is spearheaded by the Seattle Restaurant Cooperative (SRC), a team of restaurateurs from some of the area’s top restaurants: Crush, Ethan Stowell Restaurants, Flying Fish, Seastar, Tom Douglas Restaurants and Tilth. In a sea of restaurant promotions, SRC is the voice for the restaurants, who have an ear to what diners want and need. Seattle Restaurant Week was created through a desire for cohesion, based on an extensive survey of local restaurants responding to dining promotion questions posed by SRC. The survey dictated the format for this promotion.
“The restaurant community needed a promotion that restaurants could really get behind and support. At the same time, the promotion had to resonate with diners in price, menu quality and number of participating restaurants. We believe we have achieved this with one of the lowest priced restaurant promotions throughout the country,” said Chef-Restaurateur Ethan Stowell.
In an effort to create a cohesive restaurant promotion, Seattle Restaurant Week has partnered with seattletimes.com and its previous dining promotions, including Urban Eats. The partnership will leverage seattletimes.com’s knowledge of diners’ habits and trends, its relationships with restaurants and its eight-year experience with restaurant promotions.
Seattle Restaurant Week, held the last two weeks of April and October, offers diners a $25 three course menu and optional $15 three course lunch, Sunday through Thursday at participating area restaurants. The promotion is open to any King County restaurant that can offer a value driven menu for $25. Seattle Restaurant Week is run by the Seattle Restaurant Cooperative, a group of local restaurateurs that have united to represent the restaurants.
