    Flavor abounds this holiday season as several of Seattle’s top restaurants take the stress out of Thanksgiving by offering delicious holiday dinners and convenient to-go options. Menus range from holiday classics and to-go options for family affairs to unique turkey day alternatives, including a long-running vegetarian feast, a French influenced dinner, and seafood options served right alongside traditional fixings.

    Italian Family-Style Feast at Agrodolce  

    Chef Maria Hines provides a family-style, Italian-inspired Thanksgiving feast that mixes the finest seasonal ingredients with traditional Sicilian recipes at Agrodolce. Intended to be shared with family, friends and loved ones, the three-course menu starts off with House Made Focaccia, Arugula and Radicchio Salad and Alvarez Purple Potato Zeppoli with salmon roe and Meyer lemon aioli. The festive feast continues with Caramelized Brussels Sprouts, house-milled Acorn Squash Cavatelli and organic Turkey Breast with roasted yams and sweet potatoes and agrodolce onions. For something sweet, Agrodolce is serving up beautiful Pumpkin Cheesecake with sheep’s milk ricotta, quince and pumpkin seed brittle.

    Celebrate Cafe Flora’s 25th Annual Vegetarian Thanksgiving 

    Long-standing traditions are what Thanksgiving is about, and Cafe Flora’s celebration is no exception! For 25 years Cafe Flora has offered a memorable, vegetarian Thanksgiving and this year it takes form in two thoughtfully crafted, four-course menus for the whole family. The adult four-course menu includes seasonally-inspired options such as Heirloom Potato, Celery Root, and Black Garlic Soup with black pepper shortbread (available vegan/gluten free), Marsala Mushroom and Cauliflower Ragout over roasted squash with smashed rutabaga and Yukon gold potato, green bean fried shallots and fresh pomegranate-Asian pear chutney (vegan and gluten free), Pumpkin Cheesecake with graham crust, meringue, candied pepitas with chamomile anglaise (vegan and gluten free) and more. Cafe Flora also offers a four-course vegan and gluten-free kids menu with fun, tasty dishes including Cauliflower Potato Corn Chowder with crunchy onion rounds, Garden Salad with carrot ribbons, orange segments, pomegranate seeds and creamy ranch dressing, Mini Shepherd’s Pie with seasonal vegetables in a creamy sauce, topped with Yukon gold mashed potato, served with green beans, crispy onions and cranberry sauce, and Pumpkin Pie with whipped cream for dessert!

    As much as we all enjoy sitting around the table with our closest friends and family, hosting a holiday meal is stressful.     Ray’s Boathouse offers an elegant four-course Thanksgiving dinner including traditional favorites and seafood specialties. Start with Butternut Squash Soup with fried sage and crème fraiche, Fall Chicory Salad or Dungeness Crab Cocktail with butter lettuce, roasted tomato and cocktail sauce. For the main course there’s Oven Roasted Turkey with chestnut-herb stuffing, cranberries, green beans and gravy; Grilled King Salmon with house made butternut squash ravioli and porcini and chanterelle mushrooms; Pan Seared Halibut with Dungeness crab crust and parsnip puree; or Beef Prime Rib. The adult menu includes Jerusalem Artichoke Blini with Tieton Farm sheep camembert, date and bramley apple chutney (available vegan/gf) and Roasted Grapes, Heirloom Carrots, Baby Fennel, Frisee Salad citrus buerre blanc and crispy hominy (vegan/gf) as the first two courses. Then, for the main course, you may choose between Wild Mushroom and Chestnut Bread Pudding porcini cream sauce, red onion marmalade, roasted parsnip, cabbage mashed potatoes, or Delicata Squash Medallions with Cauliflower Walnut Pate with Satsuma cranberry chutney, Brussels sprout pecan gratin, sweet potato mash and bordelaise sauce (vegan/gf).     Golden Beetle cooks up several holiday favorites this year, but with a special Eastern Mediterranean twist. The four-course meal for $55 starts with a choice of comforting Roasted Butternut Squash Soup made with pomegranate seeds and greek yogurt, or Carrot and Kale Salad in a harissa ginger vinaigrette. Then get adventurous with some Sweet Potato Briouats, an extra sweet Moroccan-style treat.     Bell + Whete, opened in Belltown this summer, has become known for their old world comfort dishes prepared with a modern twist. This Thanksgiving the restaurant will be showcasing classic dishes inspired from the Norman cuisine of the 10th century.

    Bell + Whete’s “Thanksgiving Turkey Dinner” is $28 and comes complete with Cider Brined Free Range Turkey prepared on the rotisserie, Crushed Potatoes, Gravy from the drippings, Green Beans with mustard vinaigrette and shallots, Stewed Cranberries, Bannock (homemade flatbread), and Pumpkin Pie with spiced Chantilly cream.     Twenty-two years in business and Cafe Flora is still on fire! After receiving the honor of “Best Vegetarian Restaurants in the U.S.” by Travel + Leisure magazine, the Madison Valley restaurant received local recognition from its loyal customers on KING 5’s Best of Western Washington poll. Offering creative vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free dishes, made with fresh, local and organic ingredients, it is no wonder Cafe Flora was voted Best Vegetarian Restaurant in Western Washington!
