  • Fonté Café Introduces Brand New Menu 08.14.14



    Whether you’re looking for a café before work, a quick bite to eat, or a relaxing evening out, Fonté Café can provide it all, especially with their newly expanded menu items. Well-known, classic breakfasts items and signature pasta dishes and everything in between have received new inspiration, courtesy of local, late summer ingredients and a chef that operates his kitchen from scratch.

    Breakfast
    Walk down First Avenue from the Pike Place Market to Fonté Café for breakfast or brunch, served 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily. Start the day with a healthy dose of fresh, local vegetables from the Pike Place Market and indulge in the new Garden Omelette, complete with onions, mushrooms, tomato, cheese, and fresh herbs. Or fill up on one of their benedicts on housemade English muffins, now served with a pork belly meat option. If you’re looking to get your fill of fresh summer berries, consider Fonté’s specialty Waffle, crafted with caramelized strawberries, maple syrup, vanilla, and whip cream. Pair your breakfast with one of the award-winning Fonte Coffee espresso roasts or single-origin coffees for a perfect start to your day.

    Lunch + Dinner
    Starting at 11 a.m., enjoy any item off of the Café menu, served until close. New crisp and refreshing salads have been added to the starters. Relish in the beet salad, complete with beets, chevre, candied walnuts, and honey-dijon vinaigrette. Or opt for the Chef Kristofer Kalinczok’s specialty – housemade pasta! Enjoy the Gnocchi, served with creamy broccoli sauce, rapini, and parmesan; the chef’s favorite – Duck Egg Tagliatelle with guanciale, English peas, shallot-butter sauce, and parmesan; Tortelli, filled with rainbow chard and ricotta, and puttanesca sauce; and the savory and guest-favorite Pappardelle Bolognese, with tomato, shallot, garlic, beef, pork and veal.

    For quicker bites, panini and pizza will satisfy your hunger and please your palate! Try the new Grinder, fashioned with ciabatta, finocchinona, soppressata, toscano, mozzarella, olive-carrot relish, and aioli; or the classic, perfect summer sandwich Caprese panini, with ciabatta, mozeralla, tomatoes, basil, and balsalmic.

    Dessert
    For your sweet tooth, enjoy housemade desserts that celebrate summer! The Mixed Berry Cheesecake with housemade cookie crust is sure to please. Also try the Crème Brulee Trio with chocolate-coconut, strawberry-peach and orange creamsicle; Lemon Tart with berries and cream; or the coffee inspired Espresso Profiteroles with sweet cream gelato and chocolate-orange ganache.
