  • Local Restaurants Offer Family-Friendly Halloween Events 10.09.18

With fall in full-swing and Halloween right around the corner, local restaurants are offering fun seasonal events for the whole family!

    Ray’s Café

Ray’s Café in Ballard is hosting its fifth annual Pumpkin Carving Party on Saturday, October 20. This event is all-ages and will take place rain or shine on Ray’s covered deck with heaters to make sure everyone stays warm and dry.

Each carver will receive child-safe carving tools, a pumpkin, LED candles and delicious hot apple cider. In the spirit of Halloween, guests will enjoy the spooky decor as they create their own Jack-O-Lantern and costumes are encouraged!

Tickets are $17 per person (tax and gratuity not included). Food and drinks will be available for purchase including Ray’s seasonal house made pumpkin spice bourbon (for adults).

Reservations are required and includes the following three time-slots: 11:30 a.m., 1:45 p.m. and 4 p.m. To confirm your spot, contact Ray’s at 206-782-0094 or email Darla at dmarchi@rays.com.

Ray’s Café can be found at 6049 Seaview Ave NW, in Seattle or by phone at 206-782-0094.

    Maxwella Café & Bar

This Halloween, Maxwella Café and Bar is inviting kids and families to come enjoy the season with free weekend activities. From 9 a.m.-1 p.m., Maxwella will be turning its center space into the Children’s Activity Room! This space will be used for creating crafts and painting.

This Halloween season, Maxwella is offering two weekends of ghoulish fun with one of the weekends serving as an opportunity to help other kids in need!

Oct. 20-21: Halloween Handprint Painting – Using a hand dipped in paint, kids will create and paint traditional Halloween images such as witches, ghosts and skeletons!

Oct. 27-28: Halloween Tote Bag Decorating – Kids will paint and color Halloween themed inspirations on their very own personal tote bag, which can be used for collecting candy on Halloween! What’s even more special about this activity is that kids will have the opportunity to spread Halloween cheer by decorating and filling tote bags for local kids in need. The decorated goodie bags will be directly donated to Camp Kindness Counts, a local organization that runs summer camps and year-long activities to teach kids about being kind through their actions.

Weekend crafting is free (with the purchase of a kid’s meal) and offers the opportunity for parents to enjoy a delicious brunch and great local coffee. To view the full brunch menu visit maxwellacafebar.com/brunch. No reservations needed.

Maxwella Café and Bar can be found at 2720 152nd Avenue NE, in Redmond or by phone at 425-658-7185.
