  • What’s Happening at LloydMartin 07.31.14

There is a lot happening for Queen Anne’s neighborhood gem, LloydMartin, this summer. From new menu options, to market dinners, to a wine pairing dinner at the picturesque Bella Luna Farms, LloydMartin has the perfect summer plans in store for you.

Nestled right in the heart of Queen Anne, LloydMartin distinguishes itself as a restaurant known for creating unique and dynamic menus daily based on fresh ingredients from purveyors. Chef-owner Sam Crannell brilliantly crafts his creative dishes with housemade ingredients and routinely uses distinctive items such as exotic meats, specialty imports and luxurious ingredients.

    Market Dinners
LloydMartin’s highly popular Market Dinners are back again! Every Thursday, Chef Sam Crannell visits his neighborhood farmers market on Queen Anne to pick out fresh-from-the-farm produce, straight from the farmers themselves. The strong vegetable and fruit presence at the market makes the 3-course meal at LloydMartin entirely vegetarian! Enjoy only seasonal ingredients in your Market Dinners, such as fresh blueberries from Skagit Sun or summer squash from Tonnemaker Family Orchard. Each one of Chef Crannell’s ingredients is carefully hand-selected to create the fresh, sustainable Market meals. Feel free to come by more than once as the innovative menu changes week to week and is always just $30 per person. Reservations are recommended. Check out what Seattle Weekly has to say about the popular Market Dinners.

    3-Courses for $45
Due to popular demand, LloydMartin is now offering 3-course dinners for $45. Taken from the daily menu, which is still offered a la carte, guests can now assemble their own 3-course selection from a whole new variety of unique dishes. Start your meal with the Confit Peach, fashioned with aerated blue cheese, arugula, and spicy marcona granola. Then work your way to the main course, and indulge in a savory plate such as the Lan Rock Pork Tenderloin, prepared with cherries, mustard, kale, and romesco risotto. Finish off with the sweet crème brulee, or hot fudge sundae, with housemade vanilla ice cream and chocolate, salted nuts, and a brandy cherry. The menu changes daily and guests can still order any number of dishes, but the price incentive for ordering three is well worth it! Select any one item from each section in the everyday menu to create your own personalized, mouth-watering 3-course feast. Still can’t wrap your head around it? Just read what the Puget Sound Business Journal had to say about Chef Crannell’s innovative decision to implement a fixed-priced menu option and return to a true dining experience.

    Bella Luna Farms Dinner
LloydMartin’s Chef Sam Crannell is teaming up with Sommelier Shannon Borg to host an elegant and intimate dinner at Bella Luna Farms, August 17. The evening will consist of a guided tour of Bella Luna’s beautiful, scenic grounds and an elegant 5-course dinner featuring ingredients sourced from within 30 miles of the farm. Shannon Borg will pair West Coast Sustainable, Organic and Biodynamic Wines with each one of Chef Crannell’s delectable dishes. Accompanying Chef Crannell in the kitchen will be Chef Dan Matthiesen and Chef Tracey Stoner Crannell of LloydMartin. Guests are encouraged to mix and mingle as they enjoy the finest tastes and sips throughout the evening. All-inclusive tickets are priced at $200 per person. Purchase your tickets for this exceptional, one-of-a-kind event and learn more about the Chefs of LloydMartin and Shannon Borg via the event page http://bellalunafarms.brownpapertickets.com.

Here is a sneak preview of the menu.
Menu is subject to change based on the various ingredients available (sourced within 30 miles of Bella Luna Farms).

Starter: assorted pizzas and farm snacks
Midcourse: wood roasted beets · farm greens, shaved goat cheese, herb dressing
Pasta: chitarra · tomato, garden pesto, 25 year balsamic
Entrée: aspen hollow ewe · loin and leg, grill sauces, grilled “ratatouille”

LloydMartin’s summer lineup is full of fresh, flavorful bites and great deals. • PHO CYCLO CAFE TO OPEN FIFTH LOCATION 11.12.13

Vietnamese Dine-in, Take-out & Delivery for Queen Anne & South Lake Union Begins November 20

    Pho 2 DSC_3489 min

SEATTLE—Pho Cyclo Café owner and chef Taylor Hoang is expanding her authentic Vietnamese restaurant to a fifth location at 900 Dexter Avenue North. Conveniently located for South Lake Union and Queen Anne residents and workers, the new Pho Cyclo Café will open Nov. 20, offering dine-in and take-out lunch and dinner, as well as online ordering and free lunch delivery.

As with the four current locations, the new Dexter location will specialize in pho, Vietnamese beef noodle soup that is simmered for at least eight hours, as well as authentic banh mi, bun rice noodle dishes, spring rolls and more. The restaurant will be open seven days a week, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., with a Vietnamese-inspired dining room similar to the other locations, complete with a vintage “cyclo,” the French word for “rickshaw.”

Unique to the Dexter location and aimed at busy South Lake Union workers, Pho Cyclo Café will offer free lunch delivery for orders of $20 and over, Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The restaurant will offer lunch throughout the day and stay open until 10 p.m., offering convenient, quick and affordable dine-in and take-out dinners for Queen Anne families and neighborhood residents.

Marking the company’s 10th anniversary, Hoang originally started Pho Cyclo Café in 2003 out of a desire to eat traditional pho like she made with her mother growing up. Following the Sodo location, she opened Capitol Hill in 2005 catering to the evening crowds with later hours, then downtown Seattle in 2011 for the hungry lunch crowd, and her first Eastside location in Bellevue in 2012. A serial entrepreneur, Hoang has built and expanded the business to five locations in ten years, all before the age of 40.

Pho Cyclo Café offers approachable prices and convenient locations in Seattle and Bellevue. Dine-in and take-out options are available at all locations; online ordering at Sodo and downtown Seattle; free delivery available at the new Dexter location, phone (206) 284-2897. For more information, visit online at phocyclocafe.com, on Facebook facebook.com/pho-cyclo-cafe or Twitter @phocyclocafe.
