Local businesses of Seattle’s Little Saigon neighborhood will be bringing their stores and restaurants to the sidewalks of 12th and Jackson so friends, neighbors and people from across the Puget Sound can enjoy and become more familiar with Vietnamese culture. The event is FREE, so bring the entire family – there’s something for everyone!

The day will be chock-full of exciting activities for all ages! Expect to see lively performances, taste authentic food, and enjoy family-fun games and activities. Cultural event highlights include music from Huong Viet Performing Arts Group, the break-dancing crew Massive Monkees, customary Lion Dance, fashion shows (kids and adults) and much more! Don’t miss out on the special dance lesson at 3 p.m., taught by members of the Vietnamese Senior Association, to really get in the spirit!

What’s a Vietnamese festival without deliciously authentic cuisine? Taste bites from Seattle favorites: Tamarind Tree, Pink’s Ice Cream, People of the Chubbs, and specials from other local neighborhood restaurants. Get your game face on and enter the fun and competitive Pho Eating Contest for adults – there’s also a cream puff eating contest for kids.

This amazing, culturally focused event is put on by Friends of Little Saigon and Tet in Seattle as a way to strengthen the community’s identity and celebrate Vietnamese culture and heritage right here in Seattle. There will even be city organizations there to discuss the neighborhood as a whole, from getting to know your neighbors to safety and more.
