    Afternoon Tea- Mommy and Me (8 years+), May 8- What better way to spend Mother’s Day than learning to bake delightful old-fashioned tea party goodies? In this hands-on class, cookbook author, Gill Dey, will teach guests how to make elegant Salmon Pinwheel Sandwiches, light Fresh Cream Scones and more. The course runs from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. and costs $75 for one adult and one child eight years or older.

     

    The Mother’s Day Three-Course Dinner, May 8- Treat Mom to a cooking class at Whisk and learn to make a restaurant-quality three-course dinner together with the help of chef Aaron Tekulve, a recent contestant on Chopped . Students will learn how to create
    Chinook Salmon with baby fennel, asparagus, morels and lemon crème fraiche and more. This course runs from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and costs $110 per person.

Choices for the three-course meal include Strawberry Lilac Stuffed French Toast stuffed with almond frangipane filling, topped with macerated strawberries, lilac mascarpone whipped cream, raspberries and fresh edible flowers; Arugula Potato Cake & Grilled Asparagus Benedictwith farm poached eggs, snow peas and tomato cream sauce; and Spring Trifle with rhubarb angelica compote, almond citrus cake, rhubarb curd, whipped cream, fresh raspberries, pistachio crunch.
