We love partnering with new businesses and bringing that news to you, especially when it involves food, drinks and posh surroundings! A new, 300-plus-seat restaurant is just about ready to fling open its doors in Kirkland later this month. Milagro Cantina, set to open December 9, beckons diners with its sophisticated Mexican fare, stylish features and one-of-a-kind art installations. Behind the restaurant’s towering blackened-steel front doors, guests are welcomed by warm earth tones flanking raised booths, handmade bar stools and gracious servers.

The cuisine of Milagro covers the Northern to Southern regions of Mexico, creating distinction amongst its counterparts. The menu encompasses the molés of Oaxaca, seafood from Baja, street foods of Mexico City, barbacoa from Central Mexico and the grilled foods found across Sonora. The broad range of regional cuisine and cooking techniques are further authenticated with handmade tortillas and the vertical rotisserie that produces succulent and juicy pork, beef, chicken and lamb.

The beautifully appointed bar is adorned with an impressive center piece – a 24-foot wide, 7-foot tall “tequila tree.” The forged steel art piece is embellished with Dia de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) steel skeletons and pedestals for Milagro’s top shelf tequilas. Among other unique art pieces is the playful, mirrored glass piñata of a donkey made by an artist in Guadalajara and a petrified wood art-piece with a fire peak through the interior of the wood and water cascading down the sides.

If we haven’t told you enough yet, then we are sure to entice you with this – Milagro also has one of the area’s largest outdoor dining areas. 100 seats offering views of Lake Washington and heating elements built into the awnings (no heat lamps here!) will keep you comfortable at least 7 months out of the year!

Just a few days away! We’ll keep you updated on all the Milagro news. Follow them on Facebook at and Twitter @MilagroKirkland and keep your eye on their website too!
