DRAGONFISH’S 14th ANNIVERSARY BRINGS A WEEK OF DELICIOUS
CELEBRATION AND BENEVOLENCE
Dragonfish Asian Cafe in Seattle Announces Menu Specials,
a Benefit Japanese Whiskey Tasting for Tsunami Relief and More
Seattle—When Dragonfish Asian Cafe opened its doors 14 years ago, it became a cornerstone of Pan-Asian cuisine in Seattle. As the restaurant celebrates yet another successful year in June, owner Takao Kikuchi has planned a week of delicious festivities and a special Japanese whiskey tasting benefit for tsunmai victims in Ishinomaki, Miyagi, Japan—the hometown of Kikuchi’s wife, Yuko. From June 6-11, make Dragonfish your delicious destination and get to know the restaurant all over again.
“We feel very fortunate to have a thriving restaurant that has stood the test of time,” Kikuchi said. “In addition to celebrating our 14th year, we want to help the Ishinomaki Chamber of Commerce; this town is only beginning to sort through the devastation caused by the tsunami and any cash contribution will help in their relief efforts.”
Yuko Kikuchi recently spent six weeks in Ishinomaki helping earthquake victims and will return next month. Meanwhile, Mr. Kikuchi has been refreshing food and drink menus at Dragonfish and planning 14th anniversary festivities. Within the refreshed noodle and vegetable dishes, sushi, and perfect-for-sharing Izakaya small plates, there’s something for everyone; the menu continues to represent flavors of China, Japan, Vietnam, Thailand and Korea.
Kathy Casey Liquid Kitchen™, which created the restaurant’s opening cocktails, recently revamped the drink menu with cocktails such as the Mandarin Dragon Mojito, Cucumber Sake Sour, and Yamazaki Yacht Club. Stop by anytime to taste the new additions or enjoy the 14th anniversary festivities June 6-11 below.
June 6-11: $14 Anniversary Menus. Enjoy special three-item menus whose featured items include Dragonfish favorites, meat, seafood and vegetarian options. Three signature cocktails accompany the menu (priced separately) with a percentage of proceeds donated to the Ishinomaki Chamber of Commerce.

June 11, 5 p.m.: Japanese Whiskey Tasting. Start with Dragonfish’s Yamazaki Yacht Club Cocktail followed by a sampling of three Japanese whiskeys paired with Asian bites.
