  • Gobble Up Thanksgiving Feasts at Local Restaurants 11.14.16

    Flavor abounds this holiday season as several of Seattle’s top restaurants take the stress out of Thanksgiving by offering delicious holiday dinners and convenient to-go options. Menus range from holiday classics and to-go options for family affairs to unique turkey day alternatives, including a long-running vegetarian feast, a French influenced dinner, and seafood options served right alongside traditional fixings.

    Italian Family-Style Feast at Agrodolce  

    Chef Maria Hines provides a family-style, Italian-inspired Thanksgiving feast that mixes the finest seasonal ingredients with traditional Sicilian recipes at Agrodolce. Intended to be shared with family, friends and loved ones, the three-course menu starts off with House Made Focaccia, Arugula and Radicchio Salad and Alvarez Purple Potato Zeppoli with salmon roe and Meyer lemon aioli. The festive feast continues with Caramelized Brussels Sprouts, house-milled Acorn Squash Cavatelli and organic Turkey Breast with roasted yams and sweet potatoes and agrodolce onions. For something sweet, Agrodolce is serving up beautiful Pumpkin Cheesecake with sheep’s milk ricotta, quince and pumpkin seed brittle.

    The family-style dinner, offered from 3 – 6 p.m., is $65 per person with optional wine pairings for $35. Full menu details can be viewed here.     Celebrate Cafe Flora’s 25th Annual Vegetarian Thanksgiving 

    Long-standing traditions are what Thanksgiving is about, and Cafe Flora’s celebration is no exception! For 25 years Cafe Flora has offered a memorable, vegetarian Thanksgiving and this year it takes form in two thoughtfully crafted, four-course menus for the whole family. The adult four-course menu includes seasonally-inspired options such as Heirloom Potato, Celery Root, and Black Garlic Soup with black pepper shortbread (available vegan/gluten free), Marsala Mushroom and Cauliflower Ragout over roasted squash with smashed rutabaga and Yukon gold potato, green bean fried shallots and fresh pomegranate-Asian pear chutney (vegan and gluten free), Pumpkin Cheesecake with graham crust, meringue, candied pepitas with chamomile anglaise (vegan and gluten free) and more. Cafe Flora also offers a four-course vegan and gluten-free kids menu with fun, tasty dishes including Cauliflower Potato Corn Chowder with crunchy onion rounds, Garden Salad with carrot ribbons, orange segments, pomegranate seeds and creamy ranch dressing, Mini Shepherd’s Pie with seasonal vegetables in a creamy sauce, topped with Yukon gold mashed potato, served with green beans, crispy onions and cranberry sauce, and Pumpkin Pie with whipped cream for dessert!

    Inspired Thanksgiving Classics and To-Go Meals at Miller’s Guild 

    Award-winning Chef Jason Wilson presents a gorgeous Thanksgiving spread with dressed-up classic dishes at his wood-fired, craft cooking restaurant, Miller’s Guild. The same menu is offered for those that would rather enjoy the holiday at home around the dining room table. Either option will deliver a memorable Thanksgiving with Smoked Duram Ranch Wagyu Beef Prime Rib with truffled watercress and whipped horseradish or Turkey Leg Confit with shrapnel gravy. Sides include Truffle Mashed Potatoes, Turkey Schmaltz Stuffing with house made sourdough and more. For dessert, guests can indulge in Pecan Pie, Pumpkin Pie or Brown Sugar Apple Crisp with buttermilk vanilla ice cream. For those really looking to feast, Miller’s Guild offers extras such as Roasted Bella Bella Farms Foie Gras, Grilled King Crab Legs and Handmade Tagliatelle Pasta with parmesan fondue, shaved French black truffles pancetta and poached egg. Diners can also expect a carefully curated list of elegant white and red wines, sparkling champagnes and seasonally-inspired craft cocktails to be thankful for this year at Miller’s Guild including Fall Migration with aged Martinique rum, walnut liqueur, fresh cranberry juice and maple syrup.

    For those who prefer to enjoy their holiday dinner in the comfort of their own home, Miller’s Guild offers the Thanksgiving menu as a delicious and stress free to-go option, $49.85 per person. Orders must be placed by November 20 and picked up on November 23.     Fresh, Flavorful Seafood and More at Iconic Ray’s Boathouse & Cafe 

    Seattle’s premiere seafood destinations, Ray’s Boathouse and Cafe, offers elegant, holiday favorites and fresh seafood specialties. In the Boathouse, guests can enjoy a three-course a la carte Thanksgiving dinner. To start, guests can enjoy Butternut Squash Soup with fried sage and crème fraiche, Autumn Chicory Salad or Dungeness Crab Cocktail. Main course options include Ray’s Oven Roasted Turkey with chestnut-herb stuffing, cranberries, green beans and gravy, Spice Rubbed Prime Rib of Beef, Grilled King Salmon or Pan Seared Halibut. For dessert, Ray’s offers signature fresh-baked Pumpkin Pie with Olympic Mountain vanilla ice cream. The three-course menu is available for $55 per person, half price for children ages five-11 and free for children under five.  In the Cafe, Ray’s will showcase their signature Thanksgiving buffet. With a wide array of dishes to choose from, diners can assemble their perfect Thanksgiving feast with noteworthy options such as fresh-shucked Half Shell Oysters, Peel and Eat Prawns, and Alaskan Snow Crab at the Seafood Bar and Shucking StationHouse Smoked Northwest Salmon at the Carving Station, Oregon Bay Shrimp Salad with cucumber, tomato, lemon and herbs, Manila Clams, Butter Whipped Washington Russet Potatoes, Oven Roasted Turkey, Traditional Herbed Stuffing, Glazed Carrots, a multitude of house-made seasonal desserts, and much more.

    French-Inspired Fare to Be Thankful For at RN74 

    Newly announced Executive Chef Ben Godwin brings French-inspired fare and specially selected wines from RN74’s curated cellar for Thanksgiving dinner. The unique, delicious holiday offerings include Glazed Veal Sweetbreads with sunchoke, matsutake and sourdough paired with Walter Scott Chardonnay La Combe VerteShort Rib Bourguignon with oxtail croquette, pot roast vegetables and bone marrow custard accompanied by Va Piano Cabernet Blend OxButter Basted Heritage Turkey with roasted chestnut and foie gras stuffing and cranberry-orange compote paired with Frédéric Magnien Bourgogne Rouge, and Vanilla Beignet and Butterscotch Pudding with Smith-Woodhouse 10 year Tawny Port and more.

    While taking a trip to Italy might be out of reach for some, you can still experience the food, wine and culture right here in Seattle. Il Fornaio recreates the flavors of Italy’s most beloved regions and coming up Feb 4-17, Seattle Chef Franz Junga will present a robust, flavorful and earthy menu from the “green heart of Italy,” Umbria!

    The landlocked, rolling countryside region of Umbria is famous for its olives; cold-pressed to make green, fruity olive oils, including Il Fornaio’s own signature olive oil. Umbria is also noted for its sheep’s milk cheese including tangy pecorino, as well as hearty lentils and grains, porcinis and handmade pasta such as frascarelli. Umbria is home to Valnerina where forty-five percent of Italy’s black truffles are found. Influenced by its northern neighbors, Umbrian dishes also utilize root vegetables and hearty leafy greens, including beets, Swiss chard and black kale.

    Chef Franz Junga has created the menu based on his trips to Italy, his research of the country, its cuisine and culture, as well as more than 17 years cooking authentic Italian dishes. This special menu is available per item or can be enjoyed as a three-course tasting menu for $32.99.

    Zuppa di Porcini con Frascarelli – Porcini mushroom soup with potatoes, celery, onion and garlic; served with housemade frascarelli and Grana Padano and drizzled with Umbrian extra-virgin olive oil (vegetarian; vegan without cheese) $5.99/6.99.

    Insalata di Finocchi e Pecorino Pepato – Fennel salad with farro, Belgian endive, watercress, celery, carrots and pecorino pepato cheese, with red wine vinaigrette $9.99.

    Crostini con Uova e Tartufo Nero – Toasted focaccia croutons topped with scrambled eggs, black truffles, and Grana Padano $11.99.

    Anatra alla Perugina – Wood-fired rotisserie duck with citrus sauce; served with sautéed spinach and roasted Yukon Gold potatoes $26.99.

    Salmone Tartufato – Salmon filet sautéed with artichokes and topped with black truffles; served with sliced potato cake $27.99.

  • tidbit bistro Closing Aug 27 08.23.11

    It’s with a bittersweetness that we say farewell to tidbit bistro. Owners John van Deinse and Nicola Longo have decided to close up shop and start the next chapters in their lives. This whole week they are celebrating the last four years and welcoming all guests to join them for their favorite dishes and wine and grappa specials for dinner-only service through Saturday, August 27.



    If you’ve never been in we highly recommend dining before it’s too late! Here are a few of our favorite dishes including: Crostino con Funghi, Paella, La Torre (30 layer lasagna), Zuppa di Cozze & Vongole (steamed clams and mussels), Grilled Caesar and Tiramisu to finish!

  • Reunited! tidbit bistro – our newest client! 12.10.10



    We are so excited to once again be representing tidbit bistro! We’ve known them for years and are big fans of their restaurant. After a quick spring fling and a big move for them from one side of Capitol Hill to the other, we are reunited… and it feels so good. If you aren’t familiar with tidbit bistro from their former space on North Broadway they are a friendly and vibrant neighborhood restaurant serving Italian and Spanish inspired dishes from tapas and small plates to entrees and house made desserts. They were also the first restaurant in Seattle to serve flights of the Italian digestivos grappa and cello, as well as boasting an extensive selection of wine and cocktails. Not to mention a special vegan menu and tons of vegetarian options.

    They are now located in the original La Spiga space at Broadway and Union in the Pike/Pine corridor of Capitol Hill. With their move came fun new dishes and menu items that we can’t wait to share with you! We’re thrilled to once again be working together and be sure to check back here for more tidbit updates. Definitely pay them a visit for lunch, dinner or happy hour!
