    Champagne Fete at RN74

    Those eager to learn which champagne to pair with holiday meals and celebrations need look no further than RN74’s annual Champagne Fete on December 16. RN74 sommeliers, Jeff Linsday-Thorsen and Paul Swanson, invite you to enjoy a fun, delicious, and educational sit-down champagne tasting event.

     

    Jeff and Paul will share all their knowledge of this festive sparkling favorite as guests taste their way through several notable bottles and snack on small bites from Chef Tomas Griese. Champagnes include: Dom Perignon 2004, Louis Roederer ‘Cristal’ 2009, Marc Hebrart 2012 Special Club 2012, Krug Grande Cuvee MV, Vazart-Coquart & Fils Special Club 2008, Hervieux-Dumez Special Club 2008. These renowned champagnes can also be enjoyed as a flight through New Year’s Eve, as well as by the glass.

    Agrodolce Anniversary Winter Pasta Feast

    Agrodolce, the Southern Italy and Sicilian trattoria, celebrates its fifth anniversary on December 21 with a special five-course Winter Pasta Feast that mixes favorite seasonal ingredients with timeless, original classics from each of the last five years.

     

    Chef-owner Maria Hines and Executive Chef Abby Canfield have thoughtfully compiled the most memorable meals from Agrodolce’s past five years, revisiting old favorites and reveling in the decadence of each comforting pasta dish, hand milled in-house. Indulge in Hand Cut Tagliarini with sweet myrtle, Sicilian pistachio and pecorino; Cuttlefish Ink Spaghetti with romanesco, anchovy and pine; Melted Leek Ravioli with smoked cauliflower puree and ricotta; Charred Eggplant Triangolini with pepper and walnut pesto; and Red Wheat Mafalde in a wild mushroom cream sauce.

     

    This special anniversary dinner will be served on Thursday, December 21, 5 – 9 p.m. Price is $20 per plate, or $12 per plate for tasting size portions. In the spirit of the fifth anniversary, guests can also indulge in all five tasting portions for $50; wine pairings available for an additional $35.

    Holiday Wine + Champagne at Ray’s Boathouse & Café

    Now, through the holiday season Ray’s Boathouse & Café will be offering a thoughtfully curated selection of champagnes and wines by the glass and bottle. Guests in the Boathouse and Café can enjoy 2004 Dom Perignon by the glass for $35 and by the bottle for $140.

     

    The Boathouse is also offering a 23-year vertical of Quilceda Creek Cabernet Sauvignon dating from 1983-2014, and featuring five, 100-point and five, 99-point wines rated by Wine Spectator.

    Feel Grateful at Gather Kitchen + Bar

    Throughout the holiday season Gather Kitchen + Bar will feature festive dishes that reflect the comfort of the holidays. Cocktail specials include Spiced Persimmon Manhattan flavored with house-made persimmon syrup with sweet maple syrup, cinnamon, star anise, and cardamom, and Chai Spice Hot Buttered Rum with local chai tea. Relish in unique holiday-inspired dinner items such as Duck Legs Braised in Mulled Wine served with potato gnocchi, Brussels sprouts and winter squash; and Roasted Pheasant Breast with grandma’s mashed potatoes, blanketed with pan gravy and served with cranberry-apple chutney. Complement the meal with Eggnog Bread Pudding with smooth ice cream and velvety cardamom caramel.

    Holiday Beer To-Go at Belltown Brewing

    Belltown Brewing has a variety of festive beers on tap, and is offering beer to-go specials for customers to stock their holiday tables and parties. From now until December 31st, customers can buy a four-pack of 16-ounce crowlers for $15! Current seasonal beers by head brewer Adam Frantz include: Mexican Chocolate Stout, a milk stout inspired by Mexican chocolate with cocoa nibs, cinnamon, and ancho chillis to provide just the right hints of spice character. Vermont Slice of Pie Pale Ale brewed with caramelized pumpkins, ginger, nutmeg, cinnamon, allspice, and maple syrup. PBL White IPA, beautifully aromatic, with notes of grapefruit and orange.

     

    Beer selection is subject to change and is based on availability. Crowlers come in 16-ounce cans each and can be purchased in four-packs for $15. Offer is available now until December 31st, 2017.     Sicilian ‘Feast of Fishes’ Christmas Eve Dinner at Agrodolce

    Indulge in fresh fish and seafood at Maria Hines’ Sicilian and southern Italian trattoria, Agrodolce, this Christmas Eve. The James Beard award-winning chef is bringing an age-old Italian tradition to Agrodolce with the Feast of Fishes, their spin on the “feast of the seven fishes”. The celebratory feast originated in Southern Italy to commemorate the Vigilia di Natale, the birth of baby Jesus, and is now a popular Italian-American tradition.

     

    Maria and Executive Chef Abby Canfield are offering two multi-course seafood menu options on Christmas Eve to delight the entire family! Savor classic Italian dishes featuring festive seafood dishes in each course with a five-course dinner option or choose to indulge in a seven-course dinner option.

    The Holly and The Ivy at The Herbfarm

    Join The Herbfarm this December for a beautiful and festive multi-course dinner with wine pairings hand selected from their 25,000-bottle cellar. The dining room will be dressed from head to toe in festive décor; the fire crackles, the tree glows, and the holiday merriment flows.

     

    Dinner ranges from $265-$285 per person depending on the date, and will be served from December 8-23 at various dates and times. Reservations are required.     Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at Ray’s Boathouse & Café

    Ray’s Café will offer a variety of seasonal specials including: Filet of Beef with Half Main Lobster TailKing Crab Cioppino and Prime Rib of Beef with whipped potatoes and grilled asparagus, along with a selection of popular Café dishes on Christmas Eve from 11:30 a.m. – 8 p.m. and on Christmas Day from 12 – 8 p.m. The Café bar will be open both days offering food menus and holiday beverages on a first come basis.     On Christmas Eve and Christmas Day from 2 – 8 p.m. the Boathouse will offer a Three-Course Holiday inspired dinner menu for $60 per person. The festive menu will start with a choice of Dungeness Crab Cocktail Salad, Ray’s Clam Chowder or Ray’s Christmas Salad with jicama, cucumber, fennel and arugula tossed with a Champagne vinaigrette. From there guests will be offered a choice of Double R Ranch Prime Rib, Applewood Grilled Wild King Salmon or Pan Seared Alaskan Halibut. The holiday meal ends with a choice of Vanilla Crème Brulee, Chocolate-Caramel Bread Pudding or Olympic Mountain Sorbet or Ice Cream. The three-course menu will be served alongside a la carte options from the Boathouse’s regular menu. The Boathouse bar will be open with beverages and dinner menus on a first come basis. No happy hour offered in the Boathouse bar on either date.

  • Ray’s Pumpkin Carving Party, Oct. 22! 10.18.16



    Ray’s Boathouse and Cafe is hosting their third annual pumpkin carving party on Saturday, October 22nd! Pumpkin Carvers of all ages are invited to partake in the fall festivities on the Cafe’s cozy covered deck equipped with blankets and space heaters so the seasonal fun can be enjoyed rain or shine!

    All carvers will receive a pumpkin, child-safe carving tools, an LED candle and delicious hot apple cider for just $15 per person! There will also be a special seasonal menu including pumpkin beers and cocktails available for purchase. Costumes welcome!
