    There are plenty of options to make every mom feel special this Mother’s Day as local restaurants prepare specialty menus for the May 10 holiday. From savory, hearty dishes to sweet treats and vegetarian-friendly meals, mom can enjoy breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner at some of Seattle’s finest restaurants.



    Bell + Whete European Kitchen + Lounge
    Bell + Whete European Kitchen + Lounge is known for its modern interpretation of old-world, Norman-inspired dishes, from traditional favorites to new and surprising options that will intrigue and satisfy mom.

    Special brunch items include Warm Asparagus + Dungeness Crab Salad with slow poached egg, hollandaise, grapefruit; Lemon Ricotta Crepes with blueberries and brown sugar walnut crumble; and a Mimosa Flight-three for $12 featuring sparkling wine with seasonal mixers.

    Dinner offers their regular menu plus Bell + Whete’s Sunday Pig Roast. $26 per person includes: whole young Heritage Meats roasted pig, salt roasted potatoes, spring asparagus, citrus chili garlic drippings and housemade Bannock bread, served on a wooden board for family style or individual servings.

    Ray’s Café buffet menu features Brioche French ToastScrambled EggsFennel-Mushroom Hash with new potatoes and herbs, House Smoked Wild Alaskan Salmon with ginger-peach chutney, Fennel Dusted Ling Cod, Bay Shrimp Mac n’ Cheese, Penn Cove Manila Clams with white wine, garlic and butter, Sautéed Prawns, and assorted house made desserts and pastries.

    The Boathouse will be open for an à la carte brunch including a full children’s menu from 9:30 a.m. until 3 p.m., and will serve dinner from 3-9 p.m. The Café will serve its brunch buffet from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. with the last seating at 2 p.m.; $45 for adults and $20 for children five to 11 years of age (children under age five eat free). The Café will serve its regular dinner menu from 3-9 p.m.

    Cafe Flora
    Cafe Flora has a beautiful three-course vegetarian and vegan brunch menu that is perfect for those looking for a healthy and hearty Mother’s Day meal; and kids will enjoy their own three-course menu.

    Start with Tropical Berry Salad and Bergamot Cardamom Beignets with bergamot meyer lemon curd, and lavender sugar (available vegan and gluten free); choose a main course including Spanish Tortilla with new potato and sweet onion omelet, nasturtium chimichurri, lime crème fraiche, carrot reduction and tom thumb lettuce salad (gluten free); and end with dessert including Rhubarb Pistachio Entremet with lemon almond sponge, rhubarb gelee, white chocolate hazelnut crunch, vanilla mousse and pistachio macaron.

    Volterra
    Volterra is offering a Tuscan-inspired Mother’s Day brunch menu with deliciously fragrant flavors from Italy imported by Chef Don Curtiss and combined with ingredients that make the Pacific Northwest so unique.

    Treat mom to a brunch including Chestnut Pancakes with buckwheat and chestnut flour pancakes, sautéed apples, chestnut flavored mascarpone and powdered sugar; Wild Mushroom Scramble with locally harvested wild mushrooms, eggs, Fontina, arugula and white truffle oil served with Volterra hash browns; and Milano!     Sushi Kappo Tamura

    First choice options include Citrus Fruit Plate with grapefruit brulee, greek yogurt, cocoa nib granola; Spicy Greens Salad with toasted almond, creamy pecorino and oregano vinaigrette; Savory Scone provolone picante, spicy salami, oregano.
