    Avant-Garde Indulgence at Eden Hill

    Celebrate Valentine’s Day with your sweetie on your own schedule with Eden Hill’s special Valentine’s Day menu, available February 7-14. Pamper your partner with five-courses of Chef Maximillian Petty’s innovative Avant-Garde cuisine crafted exclusively for a romantic evening. The enticing menu includes Tortellini of Chestnut Pecorino with almond, lavender, and white pepper flower; Roasted Duck Rossini with seared foie gras, pickled foie gras, black truffle, smoked honey and wild spinach; and for dessert Whiskey Caramel Snack Pack with dark chocolate pudding “Snack Pack,” whiskey ice cream and 24k gold.

    Celebrate the day of l’amour with an exquisite five-course dinner from RN74.     Baron’s Xi’an Kitchen & Bar offers delicious and decadent dining for couples, but it also offers a menu meant for sharing with single friends or family on Valentine’s Day.     A romantic evening at a Brewhouse is a fun way to mix it up this Valentine’s Day! Indulge in a three-course meal and beer pairing flight this February 14 at Belltown Brewing. Start your evening with Pancetta Fennel Salad and Vichyssoise Soup. Continue with delicious Pork Chops with kale, onions, and garlic greens, Hasselback potatoes, and a pepper cream sauce. For dessert, revel in Strawberries and Strawberry Gastrique served over vanilla ice cream with mint whip and a waffle cone.

     

    Add an optional $12 beer pairing flight including the following Belltown Brewing beers:

     

    Chain Bite Black IPA, a beautiful black IPA with a burst of piney and citrus hop aroma and flavor. Pairs with soup and salad course.

    Agrodolce Anniversary Winter Pasta Feast

    Agrodolce, the Southern Italy and Sicilian trattoria, celebrates its fifth anniversary on December 21 with a special five-course Winter Pasta Feast that mixes favorite seasonal ingredients with timeless, original classics from each of the last five years.

     

    Chef-owner Maria Hines and Executive Chef Abby Canfield have thoughtfully compiled the most memorable meals from Agrodolce’s past five years, revisiting old favorites and reveling in the decadence of each comforting pasta dish, hand milled in-house. Indulge in Hand Cut Tagliarini with sweet myrtle, Sicilian pistachio and pecorino; Cuttlefish Ink Spaghetti with romanesco, anchovy and pine; Melted Leek Ravioli with smoked cauliflower puree and ricotta; Charred Eggplant Triangolini with pepper and walnut pesto; and Red Wheat Mafalde in a wild mushroom cream sauce.

     

    This special anniversary dinner will be served on Thursday, December 21, 5 – 9 p.m. Price is $20 per plate, or $12 per plate for tasting size portions.     Sweet Iron Waffle Bar, a local family owned business with a downtown café, has opened its second, larger location on Capitol Hill on November 7, 2016 at 1416 10th Avenue, Seattle 98122 in the new Broadstone Infinity building.

     

    In a casual café atmosphere, Sweet Iron Waffle Bar’s new 1370 square-foot Capitol Hill café features freshly made, authentic Liège Belgian waffles for breakfast, lunch, dinner, weekend brunch, or grab-and-go boxes by the dozen, as well as a mimosa bar.

     

    Since 2009 Adrienne Jeffrey and her two children Danielle Jeffrey and Paul Jeffrey have been supplying locals, tourists and office workers with a fresh alternative to fried donuts and pastries in their downtown café. Sweet Iron’s specialty Liège Belgian waffle is made with a brioche style yeasted dough, made with locally milled Shepherd’s Grain Flour, then lightly candied with sweet pearls of sugar imported from Europe. The dough rises for two hours before being pressed into an authentic cast iron Belgian waffle iron and baked to rich, caramelized perfection.

     

    Waffles are topped with a choice of quality sweet and savory ingredients, many of which are house made including jams, sauces and compotes. Favorites include: Brûléed Bananas with caramel and whipped cream, or the savory Prosciutto, Crème Fraîche and Green Onions. Mini waffles are available by the dozen and come dusted with powdered sugar, or dipped in dark or white chocolate. 

     

    Sweet Iron will introduce a gluten free waffle at the Capitol Hill location and other new menu items including a “waffle bake” with their signature waffles baked in a rich custard offered exclusively as a weekend brunch item on Saturday and Sunday.     Agrodolce



    Celebrate the end of a great year with four delicious, Sicilian courses at Agrodolce. The first course offers Oysters on the Half Shell, Razor Clam and Spot Prawn Crudo, or Burrata Pugliese. For your second, enjoy the Semolina Mafalde, Bucatini con Sarde, or Ricotta Cavatelli. For a main try the Pan Seared Black Cod, Wild Boar Shoulder, or Stuffed Eggplant. Choose between three options for dessert including the Theo Chocolate Budino, Prosecco Poached Pear, and Sheep Milk Cheese with summer preserves, toasted nuts and sea salt crackers.
